What are the registration cut-off rates and dates?

Do I have to be registered, to secure a hotel room?
Yes. A registration confirmation number is required to secure a room.
Can I purchase single event tickets?
No, single tickets are not available this year. You can purchase an Entertainment Package that includes the following – Welcome Reception, Club MBA, Club Jazz, Friday Concert, Friday Night After Party and Saturday Farewell Reunion Brunch. Entertainment packages are sold on a first-come first-served basis. With the purchase of Entertainment Package, you will receive an acknowledgement indicating the item(s) you have purchased. You will not receive a confirmation. Your tickets will be available for pickup beginning Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Registration.

Is there a registration cancellation penalty?
Yes, Cancellations and/or Refund request must be made in writing. Telephone cancellations are not accepted. Full refunds will be made through Monday, August 1, 2011. Cancellations postmarked, time-stamped, emailed or faxed between, August 2, 2011 and Thursday, September 1, 2011 will have up to $150.00 processing fee deducted from the refund. Cancellations postmarked, time-stamped, emailed or faxed after Thursday, September 1, 2011 are not eligible for refund. There will be no exceptions. Reimbursements are paid in the same format the payment was received. It takes 10 days for credit card reimbursements and 21 days for check reimbursements.
How long does it take to process a registration?
Online registrations are processed immediately. Faxed and mailed registrations are processed within seven business days once they are received.
Can you fax or email the confirmation?
Confirmations are sent in the following manner, (1) email; (2) mail (3) fax.
I tried to register online. The system would not accept my Credit Card. If I mail or fax my registration, will it be processed within the four business days?

Do I have to be a member to attend the Career Fair?
No. The NBMBAA Career Fair is open to all attendees. NBMBAA Career Fair access is included in all Leadership Institute, Entrepreneurial Institute and Full Conference Registrations. See the chart above the registration fee. All career fair registrants must provide a resume when picking up their registration materials.
What is included with a full conference registration?
Full Conference Registrations includes all general sessions, admission to the two-day NBMBAA Career Fair, Welcome Reception, Keynote Luncheons, Hospitality Receptions and nightly social events Wednesday – Saturday.
What are the NBMBAA Leadership Institute Workshops?
These full-day pre-conference workshops are on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. They are open to any registrant that pays the full Leadership registration price. They are on a first-come first-served basis. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. The Early Bird cost is $900 for members and $1,100 for non-members. Please check the website for additional information and workshop descriptions.
Can I participate in the Innovation Whiteboard Challenge if I am not registered?
No. Only individuals who have registered in either the Entrepreneurial Institute, Leadership Institute, or as a Full Conference attendee can apply to participate in The Innovation Whiteboard Challenge.
Continuing Education Unit (CEU):
In an effort to enhance the benefit of attending the NBMBAA Leadership Institute®, we have partnered with Florida A&M University to provide registrants with Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit for their attendance. NBMBAA Leadership Institute® registrants will receive 1 CEU credit for their full participation. In order to receive CEU credit, all criteria must be met by attendees without exception. The requirements are as follows:

What is a Continuing Education Unit?
Continuing Education Units are awarded for participation in planned non-credit instructional programs meeting established criteria. The number of units for each course or program is determined in writing in advance of the program. The CEU is intended to serve all interests in continuing education, whether public or private, and whether individual, instructional, institutional, organizational, governmental, or societal. The unit is applicable to the appropriate learning experiences of adults at all levels from post secondary to post doctoral; for all classes of adult learners, whether vocational, technical, professional, managerial, or adults bent on personal improvement; and in all formats of teaching and learning known to the field of education.
What is the cost of an onsite conference NTENTIAL (TM) coaching meeting?
$100 for members which is a significant discount from our coaches regular coaching fees. The Ntential coaching fee is a member benefit. Non-members pay $150 for an onsite NTENTIAL coaching meeting.
